Ham Radio Lives!
With the help of our Chinese friend, who had never seen an amateur radio station before, I installed this beautiful 7-band vertical antenna on a 550cm mast behind the house. If my transmitter had a little more than 5W, I might even be able to talk to somebody... only a matter of time and choice of amplifier.
I was very pleased that the first station I picked up on 80m SSB was from Gernsbach, Germany, only a few clicks from home!
F5VLG / DL2GCU is now QRV on all bands again.
